Cultivate Childcare Prep School is our dedicated preschool building for children ages 3 to 5, where every day is built around getting them ready for kindergarten and beyond. With small ratios, hands-on learning, and plenty of time to play and explore, we help each child grow in confidence, curiosity, and a lifelong love of learning.
Preschool
3 – 5 yearsIn our Preschool Room, our young scholars embark on a journey of discovery and exploration as they prepare for the exciting world of kindergarten. Mentally stimulating lesson plans engage their minds and spark their imaginations, transforming them into tiny scientists and artists as they delve into hands-on learning experiences. Interactive circle times foster a sense of community and collaboration, while continued focus on social and emotional development encourages them to express their emotions, navigate conflicts, and develop independent problem-solving skills. Outdoor time allows them to connect with nature and engage in active play, promoting physical health and overall well-being. With a holistic approach to early childhood education, our program cultivates a love for learning and lays the foundation for future success in school and beyond.

Indoor Playground
Our Prep School indoor playground gives preschoolers room to run, climb, and slide, with a climbing house and plenty of space for active and imaginative play. It's where they build strength, coordination, and teamwork, even on the coldest Sioux Falls days.
Prep School FAQs
They are required to have criminal background checks before they work with the children. Every teacher is also required to maintain continuing education credits each year that allows them the most up to date training in childcare.
Our centers have a secured entrance that can only be accessed using a security fob issued to the parents. All centers have video cameras to provide security inside the center.
Absolutely! We are happy to accommodate families at every financial level.
Our lunch is prepared off site and catered to the center on a daily basis. Our lunches are supplied by Dialed in Nutrition. Each meal is designed to be healthy as well as tasty for our kids.
It is easy for us to adjust our meals for children with dietary needs. Our breakfast and afternoon snacks are prepared onsite therefore we can offer optional foods to those who are more sensitive.
All children require a change of clothes that are seasonally appropriate. You will want to provide a blanket for your child to utilize during nap time.
We close due to inclement weather on rare occasions. We are also closed for the following holidays: New Years, Martin Luther King Day, President's Day, Memorial Day, Juneteenth, Independence Day, Labor Day, Native American Day, Veterans Day, Thanksgiving, Black Friday, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Years Eve (2:00). If the scheduled holiday lands on Saturday, we will be closed on the Friday before the holiday. If the scheduled holiday lands on Sunday, the center will be closed the following Monday.
When a child has a temperature of 100.5 degrees or higher, parents are asked to pick up their child. Teachers practice common sense with other factors that can raise a child's temperature, such as teething. Any signs of infectious viruses will be thoroughly inspected before parents are called to pick up their child.
Happy, healthy children is our goal at Cultivate. We appreciate sick children staying home until they feel better and have not had a temp over 100.5 for 24 hrs.
Weather permitting, we take our children outside everyday.
Yes! We have an open-door policy and welcome parents and family members to visit their child anytime!
